Men’s Breakfast and Discussion

Advent men will gather IN-PERSON at the Deluxe Restaurant for the first time in two years, owing to the pandemic.

We look forward to enjoying REAL FOOD as we catch up with an informal discussion.

Advent men will gather via Zoom to review and continue our discussion of the book of Romans. We will also have fun with a yet-another quiz about St. Paul, plan our return to a restaurant in May, and review an intergenerational service opportunity, among other topics. Advent men will gather via Zoom to review and discuss the remainder of Romans Chapter 9 and the beginning of Chapter 10.  

We will also discuss the Paul’s Mission Trips - as well as "current events" at Advent, including our plan to return to an in-person breakfast session.  

Ash Wednesday Worship on March 2nd is a full service with over two dozen WBMD participants contributing content. It will be broadcast on Comcast Channel 190 at 7:30 on Ash Wednesday, March 2 and will be posted to YouTube that day.

Worshipers will be invited to impose their own ashes at home. In preparation, we suggest collecting ashes from a fireplace, soot from a burned candle wick, or even soil from a potted plant, which you may use to mark the sign of the cross on your forehead at the appropriate time in the service.

Ashes to Go

A drive-up option for receiving ashes will take place

March 2 at 7 to 8 am and 5 to 6 pm.

Please enter the parking lot from Penn Avenue. You will be directed to one of two stations where you will receive ashes, prayer, A and a brochure explaining the meaning of Ash Wednesday.

A special Saturday for dropping off donations. The office will be open to make your drop more convenient for you.

We are asking for :

• travel-size toiletries for Common Ground Ministries

• gently-used luggage and tote bags for Safe Berks

• new or gently-used sheets/towels/comforters for Family Promise.
