Come be inspired, welcomed and filled with great joy.
Instead of defining us by our street address, what we serve at potluck suppers, or what clothes we wear, ask us what we are living for. Ask us how we overcome barriers to living fully. Ask us about the One who gives us great joy.
We’ve found that in the midst of challenging situations, there is always good news. And that good news changes everything.
There is good news for you.

FAQ
What should I expect from a service?
Our goal is to draw people closer to God, who we believe loves us all. During our time together, we will pray, read Scripture, hear a relevant message, share communion, and sing together. Our prayers and music are both traditional and contemporary, and you will find that our sermons relate to the real lives and needs of everyday people just like you. Worship services are family-friendly and we love seeing children in our seats. Our congregation is warm and welcoming to all. Each service is approximately 60 minutes long.
How early should I arrive?
We encourage you to arrive a few minutes before the service. This will give you time to park and get seated before the music starts. Feel free to choose any seat; no seats are reserved. We have two parking lots, plus available street parking. Enter on the Telford Avenue side of building through the glass doors. We also have accessible parking in the lot off of Penn Avenue where a ramp is located. A second ramp is located on Noble Street.
What should I wear?
Sunday dress varies from shorts in the summer to jeans to business attire as people desire. Feel free to dress in any way you feel comfortable.
What about my kids?
Children are always welcome in worship and are invited to the baptismal font in the front for a message designed just for them! On Sunday mornings, the Rose Room offers a quiet, carpeted space for parents and young children to relax while still enjoying the sermon. You may also be interested in checking out Sunday School for your kids age 3 through 6th grade. Classes include stories, games, crafts, and activities in a safe, caring, and age-appropriate environment. Sunday School is offered between worship services, from 9:00-9:45 a.m. Check out all of Advent’s Kids Ministry programs and events.
What if I have questions?
We can't wait to meet you and answer any questions you may have. Each Sunday after worship, you can stop and say hello in the lobby, also called the narthex. Ask questions, learn about our programs, and even pick up a special gift we have for you. It’s our way of saying thanks for spending your morning with us.
