Pastor Tom Irwin, Designated Pastor
We welcome Pastor Tom Irwin, who has taken on the role of Designated Pastor at Advent.
Pastor Irwin has ministered most recently at Faith Lutheran Church and Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church.
He received his Master of Divinity from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia and his Bachelor of Arts degree from Widener University.
He is the father of two grown daughters, Jane and Kathryn, and is a resident of Muhlenberg Township.
John C. Brewster, Director of Music
John has served at Advent since April 2013. He has held several positions as director and organist in churches from Harrisburg to Allentown. John holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education and a Bachelor of Arts degree in sacred music and organ performance with additional studies in piano, composition, and voice. John also serves on the executive committee of the Reading Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. He dedicates much of his spare time to study, as he has recently enrolled in seminary.
John is the proud father of a daughter named Judith Lydia.
Becca Brewster, Church Office Administrtor
Becca is a 2006 graduate of Lebanon Valley College, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Music Education with a performance focus in Bass Trombone and Voice. She is a lifelong Lutheran, and is a member of Bergstrasse Lutheran Church in Ephrata, PA where she is an active participant as a worship assistant and in various outreach ministries.
When she’s not keeping things humming in the church office, she enjoys crocheting, playing video games, bowling in leagues, and spending time with her friends and family. She has one child, Judith, who shares her passion and gifts for music, and also has a furbaby, a Boston Terrier named Winston.
